“Waking early: Future Network Spinal Analysis chiropractor Jackie begins her classes at 7am!”
I used to think 8 am classes were rough. My new schedule redefines waking up early. I’m up before the birds start singing! Class starts as early as 7 and goes until 1. Tuesdays I’m in for it 7 to 6 but I can deal with putting on my warrior face once a week.
So pardon the slight fatigue that may be all too apparent in this post but I think we’re all going to have to get used to that!
The program is incredible. You can feel how much energy and thought went into planning the curriculum. From the very start we get clinical experience. Granted it is strictly observational but the assignments that accompany the experience really get you thinking in a different way.
Today in Lifestyles for Health the professor, Dr. Kirk, handed out a health assessment worksheet. The objective of the assignment was to bring awareness to which aspects of our health we wish to improve over the years.
Dr. Kirk then proceeded to quote Gandhi (words which happen to be printed across one of the walls of the lecture room!) “BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD.” Gotta start with ourselves!
Waking early is just the beginning of Jackie’s new time management regimen!
Time management is going to be tricky. As I sit here I’m already figuring out what will be studied when this weekend. Sure I’m already slightly stressed- but the feeling I get being in that classroom amidst a sea of people who all share a very similar vision makes up for it. It’s empowering.
