“Soul purpose: Network Spinal Analysis uncovers why you were born!”
Losing track of the days here during spring break! My intuition to stay put in Atlanta during my week off from school was spot on. “Me” time has never felt so good.
Dad came for a visit last weekend and we had such an awesome time together. I got an entrainment almost every day to recover from a grueling week of finals on top of a ridiculously challenging quarter (hence my lack of posts). We went hiking, ate lots of good food and relaxed. He worked on a couple of my friends too!
We spoke of my future plans a little bit which is always so exciting!! Essentially I don’t know where I’ll end up but wherever it may be, I would love to work with a diverse group of healers if the opportunity arises. I spoke to him about eventually opening up my own sort of holistic center further down the line.
I know I want to incorporate traveling the world and spreading the many gifts of NSA to the less fortunate but I am not sure how that will materialize. I love having these big goals for myself but it also makes it harder to focus my attention. Just going to let that be for now!
Discovering my soul purpose has kept me busy!
There is so much to say about this last month but I don’t even know where to begin. I guess I’ll start with one of the major highlights—attending the ICI/ACI hands on workshop with Dr. Brian Lumb! Let me just say that I almost didn’t go.
INSANE how easily we can lose the big picture when under pressure. *Just another reason to be under care. Gotta get back into our bodies so we can make decisions from the heart and not from a confused, over-stimulated mind.
I got so caught up in school that I didn’t think I could make it happen. I also felt intimidated by the intermediate/advanced work but eventually decided that was even more reason to go. So I went and of course it was great. Plus, being there gave me the motivation and the energy I needed to get through the quarter.
I hope anyone studying NSA gets the chance to work with Brian—he is an outstanding teacher. He started out the weekend with an exercise in which he had us channel our inner child and to approach the weekend with the curiosity of that child.
Instead of getting thrown off by not knowing what to do next, we were encouraged to transform that feeling of potential frustration into wonder and curiosity. If I remember correctly, he led us through this exercise while we did stage 4 of Somato Respiratory Integration- taking one’s power back. Amazing!!
I want to share one more story that made me so ridiculously happy. A couple weeks back I was talking to one of my best friends in the whole world over the phone and she was telling me she injured her shoulder in a snowboarding accident. The same shoulder she’s injured a couple of times prior to that incident.
She had never been to a chiropractor before and I asked her if she was interested in trying it out. She seemed slightly hesitant but when I spoke to her about my own experience with chiropractic and the many ways in which it has helped me I think she seemed more open to it. She lives in a small town so I suggested maybe she ask around for recommendations.
Weeks later she calls to tell me she just left the chiropractor, Dr. Mimi Chatwood, and that her experience opened up a new door for her. Her conversation wasn’t exclusively about her shoulder at all- it was so much bigger than that. She sounded so happy and energized and said “I’m so happy you’re in school for this!”
This was so eye opening and beautiful. These stories get me, man! Especially with those who you love so very much. Imagine… a universe in which people were more tuned into their soul purpose and were able to grow it.
