Second quarter is a whole new world.
Yesterday I was introduced to Muscular Skeletal Dissection lab.
Well. All I can say is I wasn’t quite ready for what I saw. I had to excuse myself early as my lab professor began to expose back muscles. Wish I had a little bit more control over my reaction to it but no– hot flashes and then tears.
It’s interesting looking back on this experience today. Maybe it was a culmination of emotions that needed to be expressed. The shock of school after a three week break? I don’t know.
But, with the initial shock of it over with and reassurance from upper quarter students that it gets much easier, I anticipate a much more successful and enjoyable lab session next week. I can’t wait til I get comfortable enough to feel excited about it.
In addition to that I have biochemistry 2, cell and neuromuscular phys, clinical patient experience, history of chiropractic, motion palpation, spinal anatomy, spinal biomechanics, and vaso-thermal instrumentation. PACK IT UP PACK IT IN.
Should be a good ride.
