Chiropractic people: You are one or you aren’t, apparently!
“Chiropractic people: You are one or you aren’t, apparently!”
Some people looove giving me a hard time about chiropractic. The funny part is after bashing the profession or speaking of a negative encounter with a chiropractor, they generally add something like I don’t want to offend you or I still think what you’re doing is great. Yea!
Non-chiropractic people are here to teach us supporters
Those several people I have encountered are gifts. Truly. Nothing is ever as it seems–our teachers come in many shapes and forms.
For the next three and a half years I will be living in chiro land, surrounded by those who love chiropractic just as much as I do. It’s a bubble. (A really awesome bubble). I appreciate being challenged outside of this circle – it helps me keep it all in perspective.
Non-chiropractic people force me to improve my communication skills
The beauty of the conversations I have with those who don’t get chiropractic/aren’t interested is that I am learning how to develop new and creative strategies of how to more effectively communicate the big idea and even more importantly– how to meet people where they are at. My dad always told me chiropractic is a people skill more than anything else. I couldn’t agree more.
